Jazz concert Friday at Schaumburg's Schweikher House

The historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg will host a "Friday Night Jazz" concert featuring the band Old Timey from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday on the lawn of the house at 645 Meacham Road.

Tickets are $20 for teens and adults and $5 for children under 11 - both with a small additional fee - and available through Eventbrite at eventbrite.com/e/friday-night-jazz-schweikher-house-featuring-old-timey-tickets-373594720867.

Guests may bring chairs, blankets, coolers and snacks. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.

Kasey Foster, leader of Old Timey, is an actor, singer, producer, choreographer, creator and puppeteer. She recently performed at the Goodman Theatre in "The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci" and is also a Lookingglass Theater Ensemble member.

The Schweikher House was constructed in 1938 as Modernist architect Paul Schweikher's home and studio. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the American Institute of Architects top 200 architectural sites in Illinois.
