Main Street closure canceled in downtown Wheaton

A portion of Main Street in downtown Wheaton will stay open to traffic after all.

The city received notification from Union Pacific that work originally planned near the Main Street railroad crossing has been canceled. Crews were slated to make railroad crossing repairs.

But the city says Main Street between Front Street and Liberty Drive will not be closed Friday through Sunday.
