Wauconda FBLA excels in national competition

The Wauconda FBLA performed very well at the national Future Business Leaders of America competition held recently in Chicago.

Congratulations to the following winners:

• Garrison Carter: Fifth Place National Winner, Impromptu Speaking

• Kathryn Harding, Tessa Kleiner and Ashley Chan: First Place FBLA National Champion, Public Service Announcement

• Dylan Brannick, Patrick Rutkowski and Cody Olson: First Place FBLA National Champion, Sales Presentation

• Sajjad Hussain, Piotr Zatek and Matt Lee; Sixth Place FBLA National Winner, Intro to Event Planning

• Sophia Khobdeh, Kate Kersting and Mia Breuer; finishing in the top 15 in the nation, Intro to Social Media

These students had beat out over 90 teams across the globe to get to the national stage.

The national champions will get a street sign put up in Wauconda for their accomplishments.
