Due to security concerns, Glendale Heights Fest reduces carnival hours

In light of the recent events the past week and over the past several months throughout the nation, the Glendale Heights Village Board and the Founders Day Committee has decided to reduce the carnival hours for Glendale Heights Fest to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, to Saturday, July 16, and 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17.

All music, food vendors and alcohol sales will still operate under normal hours.

The health and safety of all fest-goers will always be the primary concern and focus for the Glendale Heights Village Board and the Founders Day Committee.

Additionally, there will be extra police and security present throughout the event. They always encourage if you "see something, say something" to help prevent violence whether it is at Glendale Heights Fest, on social media, or rumors you hear elsewhere.

Please call 9-1-1 to report anything or call the police department's non-emergency number at (630) 260-6070.

In the event of an emergency or evacuation, there are multiple exit points throughout the Glendale Heights Fest grounds.

Look for areas painted in yellow for an evacuation point or contact a Glendale Heights Fest staff person or police officer to help you identify these locations.
