Schaumburg offering special brush pickup beginning July 11

Schaumburg will be offering a special brush pickup beginning Monday, July 11 to help clean up trees and bushes damaged by this week's storms.

Residents must neatly place their branches, 8 inches in diameter or smaller, at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday, as crews will not return to the areas they service. The branches will be chipped and removed at no cost to residents.

Crews will not enter yards or private property to pick up materials.

The special brush pickup is open to single-family residences only; contractor-generated brush will not be collected. Residents are asked to follow the brush preparation guidelines listed on the village's website at www.schaumburg.com/brush to ensure their material is collected.
