Letter: Keep Krishnamoorthi in Congress

We of the 8th Congressional District of Illinois are indeed fortunate to have congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi as our representative. He is highly and without reservation, completely endorsed by all three newspapers The Daily Herald, the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. In their endorsements, all the newspapers mention how successful Krishnamoorthi is working across the aisle with Republicans to get bills passed that both benefit the people of his district and all Americans.

He has taken on and continues to take on the pharmaceutical industry, the gun lobby and the tobacco industry and has sponsored a bill that provides major funds for technical training for those now wanting to go to college.

His primary opponent has made a number of accusations against Krishnamoorthi, all without a shred of evidence. His statements are totally refuted by the facts, such as his assertion that Krishnamoorthi has not been successful in working across the aisle and has managed to pass only 2% of the bills he has sponsored.

His opponent has extreme liberal views that do not reflect those of the people of the 8th District.

Please vote in this important primary for Krishnamoorthi to show that his hard work for the people of the 8th District is appreciated.
