Schaumburg welcomes the return of the Prairie Arts Festival

The village of Schaumburg is pleased to announce the return of its 33rd Annual Prairie Arts Festival that will take place over Memorial Day weekend.

The festival, which features a fine art and fine craft exhibition sale, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 28-29 outdoors on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg. Art activities for children will also be available as part of the festival.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Prairie Arts Festival will showcase the work of approximately 100 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters and other artists. The event will feature entertainment on three stages that will include jazz, bluegrass/celtic, folk, world and acoustic guitar, blues, and string music by an array of talented artists and musicians.

A food truck/vendor court will offer food for purchase from a variety of vendors.

This is the first time the festival is being offered since 2019; it was suspended the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
