Rosemont mall hosts denim recycling drive

The Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall in Rosemont is conducting a denim jeans recycling drive through May 8.

Shoppers can bring at least one pair of jeans to Concierge Services, located on Level One of the shopping center, and get a $10 gift card to J.Crew Factory Store, Puma, POLO Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Levi's or Lovisa.

Gently used jeans will be donated to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls; all others will be recycled.

The recycling drive comes as the mall hosts a new art installation made of old jeans, called "Denim River." Created by Chicago-based artist Brandin Hurley, the artwork will be on display through September.
