The Gem Shop returns to Fine Line for Stone-A-Palooza April 7

The Gem Shop from Cedarburg, Wis., returns to Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles on Thursday, April 7, for Stone-A-Palooza.

This one-day event which began in 2020, takes place twice a year.

While previous Stone-A-Paloozas have had other suppliers participate, the Fine Line chose to have The Gem Shop return as they come with an incredible range of items.

The Gem Shop is a full lapidary specializing in agates and jaspers based in Wisconsin.

Owner Eugene Mueller has been mining agates and jaspers for the past 30 years and cutting designer cabochons and specimens for over 40 years. They handle some of the world's finest agates and jaspers, including Agua Nueva Agate, Laguna Agate, Coyamito Agate, Morrisonite, and Ocean Jasper.

While the event's focus is jewelry making, the Gem Shop will be bringing a wide range of stones and other products for sale.

"We never know what items they will bring until they set up their tables; that's part of the fun of this event," said Nancy Krahn, a jewelry artist and instructor who has been instrumental in bringing The Gem Shop to Fine Line.

Doors open at 2 p.m., and the event runs until 8 p.m. There is no admission fee. It's an opportunity to see some gorgeous stones and see what else Fine Line has to offer.
