District 62 to offer free, online parenting course

Des Plaines School District 62 will launch a free parent education course later this month.

Called "Parenting the Love and Logic Way," the six-week workshop is open to all District 62 families. The course will teach parents about using love and logic, ways to neutralize arguing and much more, a news release said.

Chippewa Middle School social worker Peter Martin will lead the program.

"This course will teach you a fun and practical approach to raising wonderful kids," Martin said in the release. "'Love and Logic' provides simple and practical techniques to help parents and caregivers have less stress and more fun while raising responsible kids."

Classes will be held virtually March 30, April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27 and May 4. Each class will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
