West Chicago plan commission meeting postponed to March 22

This week's West Chicago's plan commission and zoning board meeting was postponed to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22.

The commission is in the midst of a public hearing on Pulte Homes' bid to build a subdivision in West Chicago. No reason for the postponement was given.

Pulte is seeking permission to build 269 single-family homes southeast of the intersection of Route 59 and Smith Road. The undeveloped 111-acre property is currently owned by St. Andrews Golf & Country Club.

The public hearing on the matter commenced Dec. 15 in a special online meeting that lasted more than three hours.
