Apply to co-chair Glenview Civic Awards committee

Members of the Glenview Village Board will be at the Panera Bread restaurant, 2512 Waukegan Road, from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, for "Coffee with the Council." This is an informal meet-and-greet where people can come visit with members of the board and have a conversation about whatever they'd like.

The village also noted that due to the two co-chairs stepping away from the Glenview Civic Awards, people are encouraged to apply for those positions. The Civic Awards were first presented in 1967. They are given out for citizen of the year, youth of the year, public service and public safety.

The chair is responsible for meeting with the Civic Awards' 10-member committee, distributing information about award nominations, and reviewing the nominations. They also arrange the details of the award reception and handle a small budget with the village treasurer.
