Palatine Park District's annual indoor triathlon open to all skill levels

Palatine Park District's Tri Your Luck Indoor Triathlon returns for its third year at the Foglia Foundation Health and Recreation Center at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine, from, 7-10 a.m. Sunday, March 13.

The event will be an indoor triathlon with a 10-minute swim in the indoor pool, a 20-minute ride on a stationary spin bike, and a 15-minute run on the indoor track.

"An indoor triathlon is a unique style of race that everyone can compete in," said Aquatics Coordinator Anthony DeMichael. "Because it is based on total distance and not time, it is guaranteed that everyone who enters will be able to feel the accomplishment of completing a triathlon."

This event is open to athletes of all levels and limited to only 48 participants. The fee is $35 per person and registration can be completed online at palatineparks.org. All registered athletes will receive a medal, goody bag and refreshments.
