Shot fired at vehicle in Vernon Hills
Vernon Hills police are investigating a report of a shot being fired at a vehicle after a traffic dispute Thursday afternoon.
Police said the driver of a light-colored Dodge Journey fired a single shot about 12:08 p.m. at another vehicle in the parking lot at Walmart, 555 E. Townline Road.
No one was injured and it appeared to be an isolated incident without further threat to the community, police said.
The Journey driver was described as a male in his 20s, police said.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call Vernon Hills police at (847) 247-4883.
