It's All About the Paws and Falkor & Rescue Friends to hold Paws on Pavement virtual 5K

Join It's All About The Paws and Falkor & Rescue Friends for the second annual Paws on Pavement: Virtual 5K on March 24-27.

Make it a competition. Take a long walk (or run or skate) with your dog or with your family and friends! Enjoy some fresh air, all while supporting the two nonprofit organizations.

To sign up, they are requesting a $35 fee to pick up the registration or $40 to have it shipped.

A small event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Cafe & Barr, 407 S Third St., Suite 150 in Geneva. They will be passing out the 5K swag (for those who choose to pick up) and bringing out the new merchandise and maybe even the "Fetch & Win" gift card game.

Can't make it to Cafe & Barr? That's OK. We will send your swag gifts in the mail.

All donations raised will go directly to the Paws First Medical Campaign. They are dedicating the month of March to raising funds which will go to the current and future medical bills and the animals' needs in their care now and in the future.

This event, as well as the virtual Canine Relaxation Massage Class on March 12, are ways for the two nonprofits to make the monthly goal of $3,000 and to have some fun within the community!

The first 25 people who sign up will receive a free swag bag and the 2022 5K T-shirt. Everyone will receive a free 2022 5K T-shirt.

To receive your swag bag and/or T-shirt before the 5K, you must sign up before March 9.

If you sign up after March 9, it'll take approximately 4-6 weeks to receive your tee and swag bag.

For registrations before March 9, items will be shipped out (if you choose to ship) between March 18-19.

The Paws on Pavement: Virtual 5K will be Thursday, March 24, to Sunday, March 27. Feel free to start any day/time during that time frame. They will provide a route that begins and ends at Cafe & Barr, perfect for picking up your swag bag and/or tee before the 5K. There will also be a chance to do a Skate Meet-Up at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Cafe & Barr.
