Schaumburg honors best landscaping in town

The Schaumburg Environmental Committee has announced the winners of its annual Landscape Award Program, which recognizes commercial, retail and residential developments that exhibit excellence in their landscape improvements and maintenance.

The 2021 Landscape Award recipients, which were recognized at the Feb. 8 village board meeting, include: U.S. Waterproofing, 81 Remington Road, for most improved commercial; Patrick Cadillac, 526 Mall Drive, for most improved retail; Meribel PUD, on the southwest corner of Barrington and Old Church road, for most improved planned unit development (PUD); Pita House, 300 W. Higgins Road, for best maintained commercial; Meacham Point, 1018-1022 N, Meacham Road, for best maintained retail; Friendship Village, 350 W. Schaumburg Road, best maintained planned unit development; and Hidden Pond PUD, southwest corner of South Old Plum Grove and Old Plum Grove roads, for best natural landscaping.
