Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event set for Friday night

The annual Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event has rebranded for 2022 with a special centennial celebration theme. The event, formerly the Rose Queen Pageant, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Lake Park High School West Campus auditorium, 500 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. It will be simultaneously live streamed on YouTube.

Lake Park High School students Angelia Italia, Frankie Molfese, Julia Persak, Mya Ross, Matthew Sourwine, and Kerrigan Yarbrough will be competing for the Rose Ambassador title this year.

The annual event offers local high school students an opportunity to compete for college scholarships totaling more than $4,200. The students will be competing in five areas: personal interview with the judges prior to the event, sportswear, talent, formal wear, and a Q&A opportunity.

As part of the village's centennial celebration, all past Rose Queens are invited to attend the inaugural rebranded Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event. More information about the event, including links to contact organizers and access the YouTube livestream, are available at www.roselle.il.us/257/Rose-Ambassador-Event-Committee.
