Schaumburg man faces child pornography charges

A 24-year-old Schaumburg man is facing child pornography charges for, authorities allege, distributing sexually explicit images of children under the age of 13.

Cook County sheriff's investigators arrested David Prince at his home on the 1500 block of Somerset Lane after executing a search warrant Monday. The investigation stemmed from an online tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Authorities seized Prince's mobile phone and other electronic devices.

After being read his rights, Prince admitted to distributing more than two dozen still and video images of children via social media apps, investigators said.

Prince appeared in court Wednesday in Rolling Meadows, where a judge set his bail at $30,000. He was released after posting 10% as bond, according to a sheriff's office news release.
