Wynright Corp. names Christoph Schenk president

BOLINGBROOK - Wynright Corp. has appointed Christoph Schenk as president, to succeed Kevin Ambrose, who retires after serving more than 20 years as president and CEO.

Ambrose will maintain a presence as chairman of the board as he oversees a smooth transition of leadership, the company said.

Wynright, a subsidiary of Daifuku North America Holding Co., is a provider of intelligent material-handling systems. The company designs, manufactures, integrates and installs a full range of intralogistics solutions, such as conveyors, automated order fulfillment equipment, a suite of warehouse controls and execution software, and robotics.

Prior to joining the Daifuku Wynright team in 2020, Schenk was CEO for the North American region for Schafer Systems International Inc. Before being named CEO, he started his career at SSI Schafer in 1998 and worked closely with all facets of sales, project management, customer service, and operations to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

"Christoph is the right leader at the right time for Wynright," Ambrose said. "His extensive background leading world class organizations focused on growing into highly automated solution providers fits perfectly into our long-term growth plan."
