LITH Rotary Club accepting grant applications

The Rotary Club of Lake in the Hills is seeking proposals for projects and programs that help improve the quality of life for Lake in the Hills and McHenry County residents in need.

The club, one of the more than 34,000 Rotary clubs worldwide, has supported community nonprofit organizations through fundraising and subsequent grants for 12 years.

Grants available include: Major Support Award, maximum of four awards at $2,500 (maximum) each; Impact Award, two awards at $3,000 (maximum); and Team Support Award, one award at $5,000 (maximum). Projects should demonstrate a need not supported by the organization's ongoing operating budget.

Completed grant applications are due no later than May 20 and can be sent to Lake in the Hills Rotary Club, P.O. Box 7386, Algonquin, IL 60102 or Wade Merritt at wam5432@msn.com.
