Come out of hibernation for Long Grove Cocoa Crawl

Historic downtown Long Grove is putting a new design twist on its first major event of 2022 - the annual Cocoa Crawl - from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Rather than Cocoa Crawlers receiving their complimentary hot cocoa specialties inside village merchant shops and restaurants as always, this year, two heated Cocoa Huts will be erected outside providing for easy and safe distribution.

Sponsored by Long Grove Coffee and Confectionery and Village Tavern, the hot cocoa-related creations will be poured (at no charge) and enjoyed outdoors by visitors as they stroll around town visiting participating boutiques, shops, and restaurants.

A couple dozen downtown merchants are teaming up for a fun-filled, family-friendly day where visitors are encouraged to crawl out of winter hibernation to take in the festive downtown Long Grove winterscape along with cocoa-infused treats.

All participating merchants are also included in a Cocoa Crawl Gift Promotion. If Cocoa Crawlers spend $100 at any participating store or restaurant, they will receive an official Cocoa Crawl mug from the Long Grove Visitor's Center.

Guests who attend the free event will start at the Visitor's Center, 145 Old McHenry Road, where they'll pick up a map of participating stores and restaurants.

More information on the Cocoa Crawl is available at longgrove.org/festivals/cocoa-crawl.
