Northbrook Chamber Hosts 2022 State of the Village Address

Learn about important issues facing the Northbrook community when Village President Kathryn Ciesla delivers the 2021 Annual State of Village Address on January 26. This special event, hosted via Zoom by the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, brings together Village leadership, the business community, and residents for an overview of challenges, accomplishments, and goals for the coming year.

The Chamber is excited to welcome President Ciesla for her first State of the Village since taking office in May 2021. Her presentation will provide an overview of key community updates and a summary of the Village's goals for 2022. President Ciesla is expected to discuss how Northbrook's economy is rebounding as we emerge from the pandemic, infrastructure investments, economic development/retention, potential large-scale developments, partnerships and community events. She also will discuss the Village's new Climate Action Plan, with emphasis on how businesses can get involved with new sustainability initiatives.

Prior to her election as Village President, Kathryn Ciesla served on the Board of Trustees for 12 years. As a Trustee, she chaired the Administration and Finance Committee, the Ad Hoc Labor Relations Committee and the TIF Joint Review Board. She also has been active over the last 20 years as a volunteer with a variety of organizations. A partner in the law firm Ciesla Beeler LLC, Ciesla feels that her personal experience as a small business owner informs her views of the needs and contributions of local businesses. She looks forward to this opportunity to share her perspectives with the community.

The Zoom presentation is available free of charge with pre-registration. To RSVP and receive a link to the presentation, visit NorthbrookChamber.org or call (847) 498-5555.
