Man charged with felony after spitting on Batavia officer
A homeless man was charged with felony aggravated battery Dec. 23 after spitting in a Batavia police officer's face, according to court records.
William J. Colborn was charged with aggravated battery, battery of an insulting nature, trespassing and disorderly conduct.
The 47-year-old spat on the left side of an officer's face, according to reports.
Officers responded to a call at the 700 block of Midway Drive at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 22.
Colborn was trespassing on property where he no longer lives, and was given notice to leave, reports said.
He is being held at Kane County jail on $20,000 bond.
Colborn's next court date is set for Jan. 6.
