Darien man found dead in Westmont retention pond
Authorities have identified a man found dead over the weekend inside a submerged vehicle in Westmont.
John J. Lynch, 64, of Darien was identified Monday by the DuPage County coroner's office.
Westmont police found Lynch's body around 11:10 a.m. Sunday in a vehicle submerged in a retention pond outside an office building.
The coroner's office performed an autopsy and toxicology tests on Monday. But the cause and manner of death are not conclusive at this time, officials said.
An investigation is ongoing.
