Girls volleyball: Metea Valley tops Oswego for regional title

Metea Valley's girls volleyball team celebrated on its home court Thursday after winning the Class 4A Metea Valley regional final in Aurora.

With a 25-9, 25-10 victory over Oswego, the Mustangs claimed the regional crown and advance to the Class 4A Oswego regional Monday against Yorkville.

Metea Valley improved to 35-2. The Mustangs were led by: Annabelle Troy 5 kills, 1 assist, 8 digs; Emma Bludgen 3 aces, 1 kill, 10 assists, 2 digs; Halle Sullivan 5 kills; Kira Hutson 2 aces, 8 kills, 7 digs; Maura Pilafas 3 kills; Morgan Rank 2 aces, 3 assists, 12 digs and Regan Holmer 2 assists, 6 kills, 2 blocks, 11 assists, 2 digs.
