Water Street Studios exhibit features two local artists

Artists Mike Baur and Anne Farley Gaines have their work on display at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St. in Batavia, now through Sunday, Nov. 7.

West Chicago artist Mike Baur is best known for his architectural scale concrete and steel public sculptures. His work has been featured in numerous locations in the United States and Spain.

Baur's work will be displayed in the downstairs Dempsey and Kane County galleries.

Anne Farley Gaines' show "From the Midwest Wilderness" is featured in the upstairs Chicago Capital Gallery. Her work is a wide array of paintings and ceramic works highlighting the beauty of nature.

She is an established watercolorist, mixed-media painter and muralist who resides in the Pilsen community in Chicago.

Water Street Studios is joining downtown Batavia in Batfest with passing out candy to trick-or-treaters during open hours on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gallery hours are: Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
