Join Bloomingdale Chamber's Enjoy Local & Win campaign and help local businesses

The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce and its members are rewarding customers for staying local. To encourage customers to stay local with all their business needs, the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce has launched - "Enjoy Local & Win."

Any customer patronizing a Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce business can send in their receipt via email, mail or drop it off to be entered into a monthly drawing to win $100 in prizes and/or gift cards.

Shop and dine local are familiar terms, but they are not the only businesses in the community.

"Enjoy Local & Win" was designed to support all local businesses including restaurants, retail shops, fitness, banks, service providers such as accountants, dentists, insurance agents, car repair, heating & cooling, local memberships and even donating to a non-profit and more. Local businesses continue to struggle. Even before the burden of the pandemic, local businesses were challenged to compete with online businesses and services. Online may be less expensive at times, but in most cases the customer loses personalized customer service, as well as connection to the business and their community.

Towns depend on tax revenue generated by local businesses to fund services they provide their residents. Local business employs our neighbors, friends and children. Chamber businesses are community focused. Charities turn to local business for needed raffle items or to host their fundraisers. Online businesses do not provide these services to the community.

If you need another reason to stay local with your business then consider the holidays. Holiday shopping has begun with on-line shopping already in jeopardy of not receiving gifts before Christmas. By staying local, your gift is in hand with no risk of late or cancelled deliveries from online stores.

The chamber is committed to "Enjoy Local & Win" monthly raffle through the end of the year when it will be re-evaluated.

"Our goal is to focus on our local businesses and to help support all businesses, not just the restaurants and small shops," said Cindy Allston, president/CEO of the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce. "Businesses continue to struggle through the pandemic not just with masks mandates, but labor shortages and now supply chain disruptions. Motivating the public to stay local and support their local businesses and therefore their community, is what this campaign is about. Chamber members in particular have been big supporters of their community and should be recognized and rewarded for their support of the community."

Enjoy "Local & Win" winners are pulled on the first business day of the new month from those submitting valid receipts. Entries do not have to be from a Bloomingdale resident to participate, as last month's winner came from Elgin.

Residents can enter the raffle as many times as they patronize local Bloomingdale Chamber businesses, one entry per a receipt. Businesses are happy to donate the prizes to encourage residents to stay local with all their business needs. Learn more at BloomingdaleChamber.com.
