Aurora police taking back unused prescription drugs on Saturday

Residents can drop off unused prescription medication on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Aurora police headquarters, 1200 E. Indian Trail.

The department is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the National Drug Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.

Visitors must practice social distancing and wear a mask while inside the police headquarters.
