District 214 students earn academic honors from College Board

Thirty-four High School District 214 seniors have been named College Board National Recognition Program Scholars for their multiple academic achievements.

Buffalo Grove High School Scholars are Bruno Ibrahim-Betts, Troy Kowalski, Marisa Kurowski, Santino Macaggi, Ximena Jaramillo Mata, Alexa Muzquiz, Harmony Sosa and Andrea Yeverino.

Elk Grove High School Scholars are Maximus Bellatti, Lana Hernandez, William McGarry and Aileen Saucedo.

John Hersey High School Scholars are Charlie Castro, Edward Dominguez, Alex Galvan, Jack Genualdi, Tea Lang, Adangelo Roura and Matthew Sanchez.

Prospect High School Scholars are Nicholas Alicea, Daniel Boy, Jacob Grzesiak, Anika Knipple, Alexander Naveja, Katherine Naveja, Alejandro Rider-Leiner, Natalia Soro and Rey Tello.

Wheeling High School Scholars are Delanee Hernandez, Vanessa Joya, Julia Konrath, Michelle Mendoza-Sandoval, Jennifer Roman and Jackson Schmitt.

The College Board National Recognition Programs create pathways to college for underrepresented students, which include African American, Hispanic and Indigenous scholars.

Students with this honor scored in the top 10% of PSAT test takers in Illinois, earned a score of 3 or higher in two or more AP exams and have a 3.5 GPA or higher.
