Focus on the present

In a recent letter to the editor, a reader cited President Trump and his nonparticipation of 9/11 memorials. To set the record straight, Mr. Trump visited a fire house in Manhattan that was front and center that horrible day. The former President wanted to avoid the limelight and the hysteria the media might have created.

Like many others, the writer seems obsessed with our former President. Perhaps these people would be better served concentrating on the high gas and food prices, general inflation, our border crisis, the debacle withdrawing from Afghanistan and the errant drone strike, the COVID confusion, France recalling its ambassador to the U.S. and urban crime. We are all better served concentrating on the current issues in our country.
