The DelBoccio/Marchetti Group to host Battle of the Badges benefit Sept. 11
This year, The DelBoccio|Marchetti Group will be hosting a softball tournament at Hasbrook Park in Arlington Heights to honor police and fire departments and pay tribute on the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.
Featuring teams made up of the Mt. Prospect Police, Mt. Prospect Fire, Arlington Heights Police, and Arlington Heights Firefighters Local 3105, the games will start following a moment of silence to remember those lost.
The first two games will be at 10 am, followed by the championship game at noon.
Bring the family and enjoy a morning at the park honoring our heroes with our friends and neighbors, there will be a face painter, raffles, and food available to purchase from several area food trucks.
In addition, Hersey High School alumni Mycaila Anselme will be singing the national anthem and Mayor Tom Hayes will be speaking to the attendees.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Hasbrook Park, 333 W. Maude Ave., Arlington Heights.
