Schaumburg-Hoffman Rotary Club named Community Organization of the Year

The West Suburban Philanthropic Network has named the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates its Community Organization of the Year for its work to promote economic development, minimize poverty, and elevate the lives of citizens in the communities it serves.

Through the club's ACE grants, Fishing Well Scholarship, and academic, community service, and vocational scholarships, it helps to unemployed and underemployed while fostering a spirit of community service in grant/scholarship recipients.

During Rotary year 2020-21, the club awarded more than $100,000 to support the educational pursuits of more than 50 students. Additionally, a partnership was established with Hoffman Estates High School to assist lower income students in its mechanics program to obtain starter tool sets that is often a barrier to employment with local auto dealers.
