Maine Township Hosted Historical Pakistan Cultural day

A couple weeks ago, on August 3rd Indian Cultural day was celebrated in Maine Township. The Pakistani Cultural day was delayed until August 21st, 2021 because of the respect of the Islamic Holy month of Muharram.

First time in Maine Township, Pakistani American communities celebrated their annual Independence Day cultural festival enthusiastically and passionately. It brings the people of different communities together irrespective.

About a thousand people turned out for the Pakistan Cultural festival event held Tuesday in Maine Township, Monika Arsenics was the emcee of the program. The main highlight of the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations is the National Flag hoisting ceremony. Similar types of flag hoisting ceremonies and independence special events are held in all major cities in America, but the Maine Township celebration is held in the Parking lot of 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068 In Front of Village Hall. The ceremony was totally remarkable.

A grand Flag Hoisting ceremony occurred at 6 p.m. during several Elected officials and community leaders were Joined to celebrate. Pakistani Consul General Tariq Karim was the chief guest on the occasion.

The proceedings began with national anthems America and Pakistan.

Mayor of the Des Plaines Andrew Goczkowski. Supervisor Karen J. Dimond and members of the Maine Townships include Peter Gialamas, Susan Moylan Krey, Kimberly Jones, Kelly Horvath, James Maher, Asif Malik and Elected officials from State, including Senator Ms. Laura Murphy, State Representative Denyse Stoneback, City of Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney and several others joined the ceremony.

A highlight of the event was the Keynote speaker Asif Malik He spoke in Urdu Language. attendees much appreciated his speech. Urdu language is a National Language in Pakistan. Other elected officials also addressed at the event.

The event was the much-anticipated performance by world renowned Sanam Studio when all chairs were filled. Around 1000 people in attendance. The weather was warm, but greatly cooperative. Assisted the harmonious Pakistani folk and patriotic tunes that local performers sang. The crowd went wild when they launched into racier and lively Folk Dances performed by Sanam Studio and several young men and women hopped onto the event with 300 ft long Pakistani flag and ethnic dance movements, aiding to culminate the day's events in high spirits. 300 ft long Pakistani flag was provided by well-known Pakistani Businessman Muhammad Ali.

Sanam Studio team holds Delightful music dances and thrill performances at the event till end.
