Woodridge police investigating fatal shooting

A man was found dead Sunday afternoon after a shooting in Woodridge, according to a Woodridge Police Department news release issued Monday.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 6800 block of Woodridge Drive just after 5 p.m. Sunday. Officers entered a home and found the 30-year-old man's body.

After a preliminary investigation, police officials determined the incident was "domestic-related" and that there was "no danger to the public," according to the news release.
