Rotary Club of River Cities installs new board of directors

Rotary Club of River Cities installed its board of directors for the 2021-22 year on Sunday, June 27, at Trezeros Kitchen + Tap in Mount Prospect.

During the Rotary installation dinner, Rotary District Governor Lyle Staab praised the group for continuing its mission to serve the community with ongoing meetings and fundraising efforts despite the challenges that COVID presented in the past year.

Staab installed the River Cities officers, including Sharon Lynch, president; Christina Ferraro, president-elect; Alex Todd, treasurer; Joanna Prisiajniouk, secretary; and Andy Ullman and Steve Samuelson, both directors at large.

Lynch thanked the club members for serving the local communities through StoryWalk literacy projects, providing student scholarships and supporting local agencies during COVID.

"We would also like to thank Jen Berg and Aaron Buehler for their dedicated board service, especially during the pandemic. All the club members have joined together - virtually or, more recently, in person - to continue to promote the Rotary mission," said Lynch.

There are approximately 36,000 Rotary Clubs around the world. Rotary Club of River Cities serves Mount Prospect, Des Plaines and Prospect Heights. The club holds weekly meetings at 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays at Trezeros Kitchen + Tap in Mount Prospect and via Zoom.
