No injuries in Warrenville fire

No injuries were reported but a two-story residential building was deemed uninhabitable Friday in Warrenville.

Warrenville fire officials said the fire began in the driveway and spread into the building at around 1:42 p.m., when firefighters received a report of a house with two cars on fire in the 29W400 block of Crabtree Lane.

Warrenville firefighters arrived within five minutes of the call and brough the blaze under control within 15 minutes. Warrenville police helped evacuate people near the building.

The two vehicles that were reported burning had been moved before firefighters arrived. They sustained heat damage.

Warrenville firefighters were assisted by Wheaton, West Chicago, Winfield, Naperville, Fermilab, and Lisle-Woodridge firefighters, as well as the Warrenville building department, ComEd, and NICOR.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
