Wauconda Cruise Nights return to a crowd of visitors

Submitted by Cheryl Falk-Novak

June 15 was the perfect kickoff to the 2021 Wauconda Cruise Night season in Wauconda. There were 675 vehicles and bikes lining the streets of downtown while an estimated 2,500 spectators came out to view, shop, eat, and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Wauconda Cruise Nights are held the third Tuesday of each month, June through September. The event is free to both cruisers and spectators and is family and pet-friendly.

On average, the Cruise Nights attract over 500 vehicles, including classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, motorcycles, and trucks of all years, makes, and models. The Cruise Night Committee is preparing a special celebration to welcome its 10,000th car in July.

The next Wauconda Cruise Night is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. July 20.
