Swedish Days to include COVID-19 vaccine clinic June 25

The Kane County Health Department, Kane County Office of Emergency Management, and Kane County Sheriff's EMS officers will provide COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Geneva Visitor Center on 10 S. Third St. during the city's annual Swedish Days Festival.

"We're pleased to partner with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce to bring this clinic to the community during the return of 'The Granddaddy of All Illinois Festivals'," said KCHD Division Director of Disease Prevention Laura Barrett. "Through the efforts of our community partners, we have been able to vaccinate a great portion of our community and bring back traditional community events like Swedish Days. We'll continue our partnerships to bring vaccination clinics to all who want protection against COVID."

No appointment is necessary. The health department will have all of the COVID vaccines - Janssen, Moderna and Pfizer - available for administration in the Information Center. Vaccinations are available for all individuals, 12 or older. Minors under age 18 may bring a signed Pfizer consent form by their parental guardian to receive the COVID vaccine.

For additional information and current updates about COVID-19, visit the KCHD website at KaneHealth.com or call the health department at (630) 208-3801.
