Goodwin off to great start with White Sox
After joining the White Sox on Thursday from Class AAA Charlotte, Brian Goodwin made his third straight start in Monday night's game vs. the Rays.
The 30-year-old Goodwin was 2-for-5 with a homer and 5 RBI at Detroit Saturday in his Sox debut.
After opting out of his contract with the Pirates in early May, Goodwin signed a minor-league deal with the White Sox.
"It's been crazy," Goodwin said. "I obviously didn't start here, I was in another situation and I got out of that fortunately. Wasn't too happy with how that went, but it helped me to keep that chip on my shoulder. I'm still a little (ticked) off. I'm going to take it out on everybody else that I play against."
