Wheaton Art Walk returning this weekend

Downtown Wheaton will play host to a juried art festival this weekend on Hale Street and Karlskoga Avenue.

The Wheaton Art Walk will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The second-annual show is sponsored by the Downtown Wheaton Association and displays paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and other artwork available for purchase. Admission is free.

Temporary road closures related to the event were set to start at 6 p.m. Friday. Drivers are encouraged to avoid these areas: Hale Street, between Wesley Avenue and Seminary Avenue; and Karlskoga Avenue, between Wheaton Avenue and Hale.
