Emerald Place residents celebrate nurses with a little aloha

A fire dancer and hula performer added a spark to the day recently for seniors living at Emerald Place memory care community in Glenview.

The duo performed outside at a luau-themed event to celebrate nurses during National Nurses Week, May 6-12. The party also included luau-themed food and dancing.

"Our residents wanted a way to honor and celebrate our nurses for all that they do," said Caitlin Terrell, executive director for Emerald Place. "In return, our team wanted to recognize the residents for being true warriors during the pandemic."
