Kopech lands on 10-day injured list with hamstring strain

On the Bereavement List from Thursday through Sunday, Michael Kopech rejoined the White Sox on Monday and was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.

The move is retroactive to May 28.

Manager Tony La Russa spotted Kopech getting treatment in the trainer's room before Monday's doubleheader at Cleveland but didn't know the seriousness of the injury.

In between Game 1 and Game 2, Kopech did some throwing on the field.

The Sox's standout swingman is 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA in 13 games (3 starts).
