Police: Chicago man charged after meeting minor in Algonquin park
A Chicago man has been arrested and faces three charges, including aggravated criminal sexual abuse, after police say he used a phone app to meet a minor at Holder Park in Algonquin, according to a release from the Algonquin Police Department.
Rafael Brill, 24, also was charged with traveling to meet a minor and grooming by the McHenry County state's attorney's office.
About 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Algonquin police officers were dispatched to Holder Park, 1040 Timberwood Lane, after receiving a report of public indecency. Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old girl walking away from the park and saw Brill inside a car, according to police.
No further information was immediately available because the investigation is ongoing.
