Portion of Harter Road to be closed for culvert replacement starting May 24

The Kane County Division of Transportation announced that culvert replacement work is scheduled to begin the week of May 24 on Harter Road over Tributary No. 2 to Welch Creek located between Perry Road and Dauberman Road in Kaneville. The culvert repair work will take about two months to complete.

Work will consist of the demolition of the existing culvert, replacement with new precast concrete box culvert, resurfacing, landscape restoration, and all other work necessary to complete the project.

In order to complete this work safety and efficiently, Harter Road will be closed to traffic during the duration of the project. A posted detour will re-route traffic around the construction using Perry Road, West County Line Road, Main Street Road and Dauberman Road.

Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour and expect additional time added to their commutes.
