Hot stuff

Go Green Northbrook reports that the Village of Northbrook Climate Action Planning Team, aided by consultant paleBLUEdot, has completed a final draft of its Climate Action Plan.

The action plan includes information on Northbrook's current greenhouse gas emissions, goals for the village between now and 2030 and up to 2050, and action items for the Northbrook board of trustees to adopt.

The village is inviting residents to read the plan and provide written comments. The plan has sections pertaining to waste management, health and safety, land use and transportation, green space and more.

After comments are reviewed, and after any changes to the plan are made, it will be sent to the board of trustees for approval.

The Climate Action Plan is available for viewing online by visiting palebluedot.llc/northbrook-cap-review-menu. The full plan may be printed from that site, but questions must still be sent via the Web pages for each chapter.
