Wauconda seeking applicants for vacant village trustee seat

Wauconda is seeking interested candidates to fill a vacant trustee position on the village board until the April 2023 election.

The vacancy was created by the election of Trustee Jeff A. Sode to serve as village president. Sode will choose the person to fill his former seat, with advice and consent of the board.

To qualify for the vacant post, a person must be at least 18 years old, have lived in the village for the past year, cannot have any felony convictions. and cannot be in arrears on taxes or any other debt to the village.

Interested candidates can submit a resume, including a description of any past and/or current civic involvement, to Deputy Village Clerk Sherry Davies at sdavies@Wauconda-il.gov or in-person at village hall, 101 N. Main St. Applications are due by Friday, May 7, 2021.

The vacant position is expected to be filled no later than June 15.
