HealthFitness acquires Midtown Health
LAKE FOREST - HealthFitness Tuesday said it has acquired Midtown Health, a subsidiary of Tennis Corp. of America. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.
Midtown Health manages 25 on-site fitness centers nationwide. Its client list includes hospital wellness centers, community fitness centers and corporate fitness clubs. The Midtown Health team, including longtime leader Debra Siena, will join HealthFitness.
"This sale allows us to focus exclusively on growing our chain of Midtown Athletic Club-branded luxury sports resorts," said Tennis Corp. of America CEO Steven Schwartz.
Lake Forest-based HealthFitness is a Trustmark company. It is a provider of fitness and recreation, wellness, and injury prevention and treatment programs for companies and organizations.
"This acquisition is highly complementary and part of our strategy to help clients create healthy communities in a post-pandemic environment," said Kevin Slawin, Trustmark's President and CEO. "This brings together great capabilities and additional scale at a time when personalized connections through a blend of virtual and on-site programming has never been more important."
