Vernon Hills middle school looking for bikes

Hawthorn Middle School North in Hawthorn Elementary District 73 in Vernon Hills is accepting donated bicycles for a new class. Physical education teachers have introduced a new biking unit with the assistance of the Vernon Hills Police Department and M & M Cyclery in Mundelein. Students learned virtually about biking safety, maintenance and access to local trails, and will be riding the bikes during the next school year.
