Fox River Arts Ramble accepting applications through April 16

The Fox River Arts Ramble, canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, returns in 2021. It has been scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 5.

The event is a collaborative effort of the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles Arts Council, and Water Street Studios and was created in 2018 with the mission of promoting arts and culture in the Fox River Valley.

More than 50 artists opened their studios to the public that year. The 2020 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artists, businesses and galleries from Aurora to Elgin are invited to open their spaces to the public. Artists may have artwork on display for sale or viewing.

Artists interested in locating at a primary hosting location (Fine Line, Water Street Studios and Mount St. Mary Park, which is serving as the St. Charles Arts Council hosting location) may do so upon registration.

Artists must provide their own tents at these locations. Cost is $100 per tent.

When you register, you may indicate a preference for one primary host location over another. Preference will be given to the artist requests, but the Arts Ramble Committee will have the final decision in order to insure equal distribution of artists.

Applications, participation fees and high-resolution images must be submitted by Friday, April 16. The event will be held rain or shine.

Registration and further details can be found at www.foxriverarts.com, or contact Kathy Hill, director at the St. Charles Arts Council, at info@stcharlesartscouncil.org.

Businesses and galleries may host artists or simply be open for visitors to see their art exhibits. The fees are: $50 per business, gallery or studio hosting 1 to 3 artists; $100 per business, gallery or studio hosting 4 to 6 artists; or $150 per business, gallery or studio hosting 7 to 10 artists.
