Orders due by April 2 for Rose Day with St. Charles Kiwanis

We've all seen drive-thru fast-food restaurants, pharmacies and Starbucks, but what about drive-thru roses? That's the plan for this year's St. Charles Kiwanis Rose Day fundraiser. The fundraiser was canceled last year due to the pandemic, but is returning with safety measures in place, including an outdoor setting.

On Saturday, April 17, roses can be picked up from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the back parking lot of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1145 N. Fifth Ave. in St. Charles. Cars will be directed by signs on Marion Avenue, just south of the church, and in the lot itself where club members will bring roses to the vehicles.

Members have been contacting previous rose recipients for the last several weeks, but anyone can donate to the club by visiting kiwanisofstcharles.org.

Roses are $25 per dozen and orders must be prepaid by April 2. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to help area children and families in need.

Currently, the club meets via Zoom on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at noon. The club is always seeking service-minded people for its membership. For more information, visit the website or call (630) 272-1875.
